Monika is a patient who came to us as a visitor from Deutschland (Germany). She had her posterior implants restored by her ZahnArst (dentist) in Germany but was not satisfied with the color.

She told him she wanted whiter teeth but they turned out yellow.

Modeling for Cosmetics and Dental Function

To assure the patient of precision assessment and the use of appropriate components, a diagnostic wax-up was peformed. After reviewing the choices of treatment plans, the patient elected to close the spaces between her anterior teeth and lengthen them with IPS Empress veneers made by Technics Dental Lab. The renowned quality of Empress porcelain would provide the cosmetic result and long term endurance the patient was seeking.

Her posterior implants, which were an older version of Sterioss implants, were restored with a newer implant supported bridge which made it easier for her to clean. Routine care for her older prosthesis was quite cumbersome. The old bridge had to be periodically unscrewed, cleaned and replaced by the dentist.

The decision to use technologies that surpassed what she was accustomed to had a very dramatic effect upon our patient. She loved her new smile so much that the impact resulted in her changing her entire appearance. The after photos show the degree of change. So much so, that her son did not recognize her upon her arrival back home in Germany.
